The AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED high-power
telephoto zoom features a zoom ratio of 4.3x in a compact body, covering
the medium telephoto (70mm) to telephoto (300mm) range. It employs an ED
(Extra-low Dispersion) glass element to compensate for chromatic
aberration which is often found in telephoto lenses, and achieves superior
lens performance — all at a very affordable price, much less than you
might expect. In addition, this new lens is a D-type Nikkor — meaning that
it provides distance information to most current Nikon AF SLR cameras for
the highest quality advanced exposure and flash control.
